Desk Top Muzak was formed in 1990 and came from Ashford in Kent. It was purely a money-making venture and very commercial, playing at lots of pubs and clubs within the Kent area.

Paul and John used to play together in the band Pipe Dream but this time they didn't need any other musicians and used an Atari 1040 STE computer to write and perform their songs.

The following demo songs were written by Paul Skingley and John Buckingham, Paul wrote the lyrics.
